High PH levels dry skin out!

We have all been told for many, many years how bad soap is for our skin.  It’s been pounded into our heads by every beauty editor out there……and guess what?  They are right!  When it comes to skincare, soap is a very dirty word.

Sooooo, I thought I’d take a minute to tell you about the PH level in the Wonderbar.  It is around 5.65!  Just in case you are not up on PH levels, that’s exactly where our skin needs to be.  While it looks just like a soap and lathers just like a soap, the similarities end there.  The Wonderbar will actually bring your skin back in perfect balance and make oily skin less oily and dry skin less dry.  Resulting in healthy, glowing, radiant skin!

Goodbye Keratosis Pilaris! (aka the little annoying bumps on the backs of our arms)

The dreaded Karatosis Pilaris!

The dreaded Karatosis Pilaris!

“Keratosis pilaris is very common, finding a home on the upper arms, thighs, and shoulders. Keratosis pilaris tends to be more severe during the winter months but no one is sure why that is the case and it definitely isn’t consistent for everyone. Basically, the bumpy rough spots are clogged pores that sometimes get red and irritated but rarely itch. Regrettably there is no available cure or universally effective treatment, though it is generally well accepted that unclogging pores and reducing inflammation can improve matters greatly (Source: eMedicine Journal, July 2, 2001, Volume 2, Number 7).”

I had a dermatologist tell me the same thing.  But strangely, since I have been using the Wonderbar, mine are gone.  I don’t ever rinse my hands off after applying it to my face and neck.  I put the leftovers all over the backs of my arms.  I haven’t had a bump on them since day 3 of using this product.  True story.

The Wonderbar is NOT a soap!

If someone tries to tell you that the Wonderbar is a soap, don’t listen!  It is true that soaps dry out our skin due to the high PH levels of the binders used in soap.  It is also true that the PH level for Wonderbar is around 5.65- exactly the balance our skin needs. This is why, after consistent use, dry skin becomes less dry and oily skin becomes less oily. The Wonderbar tones and balances the skin very well. The manufacturer of the Wonderbar has the world patent on the material that binds the bar together. It is not drying like a binder you would find in a soap. It cannot be found in any other product in the world and this makes the Wonderbar very unique. Also, the Wonderbar is made of four different organic algae that literally heal the skin several layers down. The Heilmoor clay detoxifies the skin resulting in deep-cleansed skin with minimized pores. It acts as a toner, cleanser, exfoliate and moisturizer. It is great for acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, dry skin, oily skin, large pores, hyper-pigmentation and much more. The longer you use it, the better your skin gets. It really is a one of a kind product and because it replaces all of your skincare products, it is very cost-effective too. It is suitable for all skin types. So, I agree with all of the skincare experts that soap is terrible for your skin and, like many, would never let a bar of soap near my face. After using the Wonderbar for 8 months very consistently and as directed, I will never use another product or be without this one (and I’ve tried them ALL!). I can’t find anyone who has used it correctly who doesn’t feel the same way. What you get is very healthy, hydrated, toned and balanced skin…..

Wonderbar can’t do wonders in the shower!

Lather on Wonderbar before you shower....

Lather on Wonderbar before you shower....

I have heard this a couple of times recently…….”I tried it a few times in the shower and …”  or “My Wonderbar melted in the shower and I didn’t have the chance to try it again…”

If you are using your Wonderbar in the shower like a facial soap, then you are not using it properly.  The Wonderbar is intended to be lathered on the face and then allowed to dry.   This is the reason that the instructions say ‘let sit for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing’.  If not allowed to dry, then it can’t draw the toxins out.  The best way to use the bar is to lather it all over your face and neck and let it dry about five minutes before you get into the shower.  Then shower and rinse.  Be sure to apply in the evening as well.

Keep it by the sink.  It’s like a spa treatment every day!  ;-)

Sensitive Skin and Rosacea may have finally met their match…..

rosacea

I can’t tell you how many friends and clients I have who are scared to try the Wonderbar because they have “sensitive” skin or because they have Rosacea.  Well, we have some news…..The Wonderbar is wonderful for sensitive skin!  It is actually safe on a baby!  The people who have decided to take the plunge and use the Wonderbar have been surprised to find that it is for ALL skin types, even sensitive.  You might have to go through a little healing crisis while your skin adjusts, but when you realize that those toxins need to come out and that your skin will actually age faster with those toxins in, you won’t mind going through a little adjustment period.

The other thing is Rosacea.  I was not aware of this added benefit when we first began selling the Wonderbar.   Our clients, though, have made us plenty aware of it and we are very excited.  One man, who has had a bad case of Rosacea for several years, just came into the store in Austin and bought FOUR bars!  I guess if you find something that works, you stock up.  As he put it, he has never before found a product that quite knocked out his Rosacea like this….or even close.

SO, before you close your mind to the Wonderbar for Rosacea and sensitive skin, think about how great it would be to just have ONE product, non-toxic, inexpensive and simple to use, to combat your skin issues.

My husband loves the Wonderbar and now I have to share.

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

As it turns out, now that I have finally found the beauty routine that I can stick with, I have to share it.   I suggested to my husband that he use the Wonderbar to minimize his pores……that worked really well.  Then he started shaving with it and now he doesn’t even get razor burn.  And his soft skin…who knew?

I’ll be giving one to every man I know for Christmas this year…..

The Wonderbar and Mineral powder or make-up…

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Not a good idea!  Any kind of mineral powder or make-up can clog your pores.  If you are using the Wonderbar and your skin has toxins beneath the surface that need to come out, do not put mineral products on top.  They will keep your pores clogged and the Wonderbar will try to bring them out and that equals infection!

The best way to use the Wonderbar is with a plain moisturizer and nothing else.  If you have a lot of toxins coming out in the form of pimples that you want to cover up, try using a tinted benzoyl peroxide instead of make-up.  The goal is to get to the place where you don’t need a lot of powder or make-up.  The Wonderbar will get you on your way!

No redness, but my skin feels like sandpaper!

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

QUESTION: I have been using the Wonderbar for several months and I love it.  My question after going through the “healing crisis” on my neck is why does it still feel so rough, but the redness is completely gone?  It looks good, but feels like sandpaper!

ANSWER:  If you have already gone through the redness and dryness that the “Healing Crisis” can bring on, but you still have rough skin, try taking a warm wash cloth and gently rub the area that feels dry.  It should come right off and reveal baby-smooth skin underneath.  You might need to do this on occasion, as the Wonderbar continues to encourage cell rejuvenation and healing.
