Will the real Wonderbar please stand up?

Buffet_Lunch

I guess it’s good news when other companies out there begin using the words “wonder” and “bar” in their advertising and marketing campaigns more and more…..different combinations like Bar-wonder, Wonder-bar, Wonder Bar, Bar of Wonder.  When we first started, you could google the word “wonderbar” and the only thing that came up was a bar in Asbury Park.  It’s been pretty exciting to watch from my viewpoint, actually, because it means we at WonderbarUSA are making an impact and leaving a strong impression in the market place.    That leads to name recognition, which leads to stronger sales.  We are seeing all of that, so we are very grateful.  :)  These days, my inbox is FULL of questions regarding Eumora and Cor Silver, so I thought I would just briefly respond here.

Eumora is not the same as the Wonderbar, as seen on our website, wonderbarusa.com.  The two bars are made by the same manufacturer.   The Wonderbar is an improved and more effective version of Eumora.  The ingredients are the same, but the composition is different.  The distributors of Eumora are prohibited from selling the bar here in the United States, as we are prohibited from selling the Wonderbar in Malaysia or Singapore.  There, I said it and I mean it with all due respect.

Secondly, people want to know about Cor Silver and why and how the Wonderbar is better or different.  They are both “bars”, hence the curiousity, but I think the similarities end there.   As far as I can tell, people love Cor Silver and while  it seems like a good product, I have never tried it myself and cannot speak from an educated standpoint on its effectiveness.  What I can say is that it does not contain the Chlore’nahre, which is the microalgae component that “heals” your skin.  Also, the advertised pH level of the Cor Silver bar is 7.2.   The pH level of the Wonderbar, as you’ve heard me say here before, is around 5.65.  Just to be clear (no pun intended), normal skin surface pH is between 4 and 6.5 in healthy people. ;)   Lastly, the Cor Silver bar does not contain the Heilmoor Clay that detoxifies the skin.  As you can see, the three things that really make our bar wondrous, as they say, cannot be found in Cor Silver.  The two bars are different animals altogether.

SO, as my favorite blogger, Lainey, likes to say…..this is like a big buffet with lots of choices and YOU get to choose what you want.  WE just get to put it in front of you and hopefully……..you’ll make the right choice!

BEAUTY IS WELLNESS

“That’s right- this little grey bar with its minimalist brown packaging is my first natural beauty hero of 2010! Don’t you love when good things come in small packages?

In the few weeks that I’ve been trying out Wonderbar, I’ve seen changes in  my skin that support all of the product’s promised benefits: overall balance in oily/dry spots; smaller pores; soft, glowy skin and reduced redness and breakouts. Which leaves me wondering, what makes Wonderbar effective where other products are not?

Quite simply, the genius behind Wonderbar seems to be its pH level. The Wonderbar has a pH of around 5.65- a perfect level to maintain the natural acidity of our skin, which has a pH between 4 and 6. What does pH have to do with beautiful skin anyway? Regular bar soaps and cleansers (that commonly rate between 9 and 11 on the pH scale) are likely to make the skin more alkaline-  resulting in an environment suitable for acne-causing (p. acnes) bacteria. Maintaining the skin’s natural pH  strengthens its defenses against environmental stressors and keeps away dryness and irritation.

Wonderbar also boasts some notably wondrous ingredients, specifically Chlorey’nahre, an algae extract blend, and Heilmoor clay, a 3,000 year-old therapeutic clay from Austria that detoxifies and heals beyond the skin’s surface.

It’s important to note that Wonderbar is not a soap. It’s essentially a treatment that you apply for a few minutes after cleansing and removing makeup.”

balance

Life, marriage, diet, curriculum, funds, budget, skin, checkbook…..what do they all have in common?  They all need to be balanced.  This is the part people miss about the Wonderbar.  They get that it detoxifies your skin.  They know that it heals your skin, but they might be missing the most important aspect of this miraculous little bar…..that it balances your skin.  So while the clay brings the toxins out and the algae heals from within, the balance is also being restored.  Wha-La!  Healthy skin!

When skin is described as “normal”, it means that it is ”balanced”.  What does normal mean, though? Well, when we’re talking about skin, it means that you don’t have a problem with oil or breakouts, and you don’t feel that your skin is dry and tight. Most people with normal skin, now listen closely, have small pores, little to no breakouts and can get by with little foundation.

To keep your skin normal or balanced, you need to use a product with the right PH-balance level.  The pH of normal, healthy human skin is somewhere between 4.5 and 6. The Wonderbar’s PH-balance level is right around 5.65.  People who use the Wonderbar largely claim…..yes, small pores, little to no breakouts and not much of a need for foundation or powder.  And there you have it.  Now about that checkbook……

Tackle Problem Skin, Restore Balance with The Wonderbar!

beauty expose
January 3, 2010 by Allison Giuffre

wonderbarMy prejudice against all-in-ones started somewhere back in my childhood with Pert Plus shampoo/conditioner/does-absolutely-nothing-er and has since been solidified by the marketed marriage of hair care and body washes across the board. But my incessant traveling, nonfunctional (yet SO stylish) luggage and duty to BeautyXpose have collectively broadened my beauty horizons. So when limited luggage space inevitably questioned my judgment — bring along an adequate array of footwear, or pack my shaving cream, exfoliant, toner, cleanser, anti-wrinkle cream and moisturizer? — I conceded. It’s a good thing! The Wondeux Wonderbar, surprisingly, does wonders for your skin.

The tiny detox bar is packed with the essence of over 700 herbs and plants, 300-year-old Heilmoor clay, and four different organic algae. It’s marketed as ideal for all skin types, because continued use will bring skin back to its natural pH level – which, according to the brand, is 5.65. Oily skin becomes less oily, dry skin becomes less dry…you get the picture. Because of its pH level, the Wonderbar cannot be categorized as a soap. So instead, let’s just call it a multi-tasking miracle for problem skin.

To use, simply work the bar into wet hands. Apply the lather to your face (and neck, and legs, and elbows and bikini line) and let it dry for at least four minutes twice a day. Don’t try to do this in the shower, as it will never dry. If you like what you’re seeing, you can try leaving it on longer as a mask treatment, but I would suggest testing it out on the back of your hand first. Sure, the Wonderbar might smell like something from Aveeno…but it’s far more powerful, so be careful!

wonderbar3Be warned: There is an inherent “healing crisis” risk that comes along with the use of this product, because you know it sounded too good to be true. According to the brand, the dryness and breakouts that may occur “indicate the Wonderbar is doing what your skin needs.” Healing a skin crisis with another skin crisis? Sounds a little crazy at first, but it does makes sense. The bar is altering your skin’s pH level, and depending on what products you’ve used in the past, it may take some time to bring it back to “normal.” It should be noted that some people never experience this healing crisis at all, while others might endure it for weeks on end. For me, it was a dramatic three days of uncomfortable dryness that led to less visible pores and more visible radiance. Consistency is key – don’t give up.

If you’ve got troubled skin, a little hope and a lot of useless products, the Wonderbar should be added to your wish list. You can purchase your own online at Wonderbar USA; $40 will get you a 6-8 week supply, $105 will get you a 3-4 month supply and $140 will get you a 5-6 month supply. Perhaps a bit pricey, but you won’t really need anything else (save a pure hydrating moisturizer, perhaps, with no AHA).

Have you tried it? Are you trying it? Will you try it? Let me know how it’s working for you…even if you just need some moral support through your own healing crisis!

High PH levels dry skin out!

We have all been told for many, many years how bad soap is for our skin.  It’s been pounded into our heads by every beauty editor out there……and guess what?  They are right!  When it comes to skincare, soap is a very dirty word.

Sooooo, I thought I’d take a minute to tell you about the PH level in the Wonderbar.  It is around 5.65!  Just in case you are not up on PH levels, that’s exactly where our skin needs to be.  While it looks just like a soap and lathers just like a soap, the similarities end there.  The Wonderbar will actually bring your skin back in perfect balance and make oily skin less oily and dry skin less dry.  Resulting in healthy, glowing, radiant skin!
