Well, first let me say that the Wonderbar is not a product that is specifically for the treatment of melasma. Some people find that it helps, while others find that it does not. It will not make the condition worse, but certain types of melasma are more difficult to treat.
There are various forms of treatments for melasma, although the epidermal type of the skin condition responds better to treatment than other types because the pigmentation is closer to the person’s skin surface. So, the Wonderbar, with its exfoliating properties, would be more likely to help improve the epidermal type by aiding in cell rejuvenation and pushing dead skin cells up to the surface at a faster than normal rate. I am not aware of any bleaching agent in the Wonderbar. Thanks for your question!
