With Spring upon us, I cannot say enough about the Wonderbar for the feet! It’s sandal time and many of us cannot make it to the pedicurist once a week, or even once a month, SO, covering your feet in Wonderbar suds and using it as an overnight treatment is a nice alternative. It’s tough skin, so sleeping in it is recommended. The next day, take a skin brush and scrub your feet in the shower, follow with some coconut or almond oil and wah-lah…feels like your feet just got pampered at the spa. The Wonderbar will help to balance and nourish the rough skin on the bottoms of your feet and will also benefit the skin around the toenails. The one thing unlike a spa treatment? You can treat yourself to it every day! Happy Spring!

To Wonderful Skin! Fresh sheets…
Thursday, April 14th, 2011In addition to your Wonderbar routine, there are things you can do to pamper your skin and keep it healthy and beautiful! Among some of the more surprising things is the idea that dirty sheets, laden with bacteria, can have an adverse affect on our complexion. Sounds believable to me! It is recommended that we change our linens at least once a week—and wash the dirty ones in hot water (130° F). If you have been sick, make that daily. And don’t forget, laundry detergent is soap, so be sure to choose the “extra rinse” option. If not washed thoroughly, the residues can cause allergies and skin irritation. Another option is to just use organic detergent! Your skin will thank you!
To a Wonderful You! Faith…
Sunday, April 10th, 2011As you practice counting your blessings, you will find that your
faith is being suddenly revitalized.
– Robert Schuller
Very true. A friend posed a question on facebook recently that asked, “if you only had today the things you said thanks for yesterday, what would you have today?”. My answer, sadly, was the weather and my dog. Not my kids, health, husband, friends, home, family, education, food, etc. etc. Count your blessings however few or many. It does magically restore the faith if you are lacking in it, and simply confirms it if you are not.
To a Wonderful You! Kindness…
Sunday, April 3rd, 2011Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
– Leo Buscaglia
Make it a goal to do something nice for someone today. You never know what someone may be going through and how it might make their day. Not to mention what a natural boost it will give you in the process!
To a Wonderful You! Smile…
Sunday, March 27th, 2011A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears.
Anne Roiphe
Isn’t that the truth? If I ask my husband if I look okay, and I’m rushed or frustrated, he ALWAYS says the same thing….”No, but not because of your outfit, because you don’t have a smile on your face”. So greet today with a big, warm smile and your beauty will be prominently displayed for others to behold.
To a Wonderful You! Boldness…
Sunday, March 20th, 2011To a Wonderful You! Beauty…
Sunday, March 13th, 2011“Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the belief that she is beautiful.”
Sophia Loren
People around you will believe about you what you believe about yourself. Everyone is beautiful in their own way! Acts of kindness reinforce that belief. Remind yourself every day, your brain will hear you and the world will join you! Happy Sunday, beautiful!
To a Wonderful You! Attitude..
Sunday, March 6th, 2011“Our lives are not determined by what happens to us, but how we react to what happens; not by what life brings us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst; a spark that creates extraordinary results.”

We are defined by how we handle adversity and our attitude attracts like attitudes. I love sharing with friends some of the better parts of our day. It’s interesting how the mood lifts and everyone feels happy. It’s a great way to get to know people, including ourselves, a little better.
Focusing on the positive can become a habit and soon you find yourself looking for it, just so you can share it. We all know it’s easy to find the negative, but it’s just as easy to find the positive, so why not?
Have a Wonderful Sunday!
A little exercise a day keeps the “old” skin at bay!
Thursday, March 3rd, 2011Just do it. Do it for your health and you’ll be doing it for you skin! There are clearly other things you can do for your skin, like using the Wonderbar and using great protection, but here are some of the things that regular exercise will do for you, and your skin!
1) Reduce your acne. Exercise will get the body moving and will therefore create sweat. Sweat is awesome in cleaning out the dirt and toxins in your pores. Also, it can help by mediating the testosterone hormones in the skin, which cause acne in the first place.
2) Increase circulation. If you get in a regular workout in, you are likely to increase the circulation in your body. This will promote the increased delivery of nutrients to the skin cells. Toxins are also on the out. By increasing circulation of the blood in your body, you will be adding quite a benefiting factor to your skin. It can also help in making collagen and keep the wrinkles away. This also accounts for the GLOW you’ll get!
3) De-stress you. By exercising, you will naturally be more relaxed. There are plenty of ways in which this is beneficial to your body and overall health. The skin is no different. Being less stressed will encourage more of a natural glow and overall youthfulness to your skin. You can’t buy that in a department store!
So, now you have to figure out what you are going to do. Personally, I go in and out of exercise, like most of us, but when I find something I love, I get completely addicted and it shows in my skin! Not to mention in my demeanor…I can take on four kids and a husband without breaking a sweat! And you can be sure they can dole it out…my latest find is the new, much talked about, Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio workout. It is a blast and I find myself actually getting excited to do it every day. If you haven’t heard of it, check it out here: you can even make your own playlist and do it along to that. It improves your mood, your life, your body, your health and…your SKIN! You’ll feel so great and you might even end up with a six-pack in the process!
