CONSISTENCY is the KEY to the WONDERBAR…..

Consistency

I want to tell you all about a “thank-you” email I received from a client.  She wrote that IF she had STOPPED using her Wonderbar at two weeks (which she almost did because of the dryness she felt), she NEVER would have believed that a product could change her skin SO dramatically….and for the better.  I know that there are many people who bought the Wonderbar in early 2009 and gave up simply because they didn’t understand the PROCESS.  Today, we send the following explanation out with every Wonderbar so that people will really understand the whys and hows…..and to send the all-important message:  “Hang in there! You won’t be sorry!”

PLEASE READ: VERY IMPORTANT TO YOUR SUCCESS WITH THE WONDERBAR!

The Wonderbar is an amazing thing and simple to use, but you must use it properly or you will never realize the many benefits!  It acts as a toner, cleanser, exfoliate and ultimately, a moisturizer- all of your skincare products in one!  It is suitable for all skin-types and is incredible on acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, large pores, hyper-pigmentation and more. Made of four different organic algae and Heilmoor clay, the Wonderbar detoxifies and literally “heals” the skin several layers down.   This process may initially result in dryness and a mild to moderate break-out.  It is referred to as the “Healing Crisis” and is an important step to bringing youthfulness back to your skin. We recommend that you continue using the bar through this phase….you will be very glad you did.  Some people never experience the “healing crisis” at all…as it is dependent upon the level of toxins in your skin and the healing that needs to occur.  Dryness and breakouts indicate the Wonderbar is doing what your skin needs.  Everyone’s skin is different, so every experience is a little different too.

To use, simply get the bar wet and lather in your hands, apply to face and neck and let dry for 3-5 minutes…morning and night, then rinse off.  This must not be done in the shower, as your skin will not dry and the bar won’t be able to permeate the skin.  Please be aware that some moisturizers with retinol, alpha hydroxy, etc. may be counteractive with the bar… a pure hydrating moisturizer, something plain, works best.  Also, we do not recommend using a lot of foundation.  It actually is better to use it as little as possible or not at all.  It is counterproductive to the healing/cleaning process.  Once your skin has adjusted, you should experiment with what works best for you.

The healing takes place in the weeks and months ahead.  The PH level of the Wonderbar is around 5.65- exactly the balance our skin needs. This is why, eventually, dry skin becomes less dry and oily skin becomes less oily.  It is also the reason that the Wonderbar cannot be categorized as“soap”. The longer you use it, the better your skin gets and with consistency, you will continue seeing benefits and changes in your skin, even after several months.  The end result?  Healthy, hydrated, balanced skin…..

Please call or email us anytime with questions or concerns….we love hearing about each person’s experience with the Wonderbar!

Can you use the clarisonic skin cleaner to apply the wonderbar??

    • Tiffany says:

Sure, but you will probably be wasting a lot of Wonderbar! It works best when applied with your hands and rinsed off after 3-5 minutes. The Wonderbar is a toner, cleanser and exfoliate, so you probably should stay away from the clarisonic until after you are completely through with the healing/adjustment phase….once you are adjusted, you could probably use the clarisonic once a month or so to remove rough skin, which builds up occasionally due to little mini “healing crises”. This rough skin does come off on its own, but never hurts to have a little help.

Is it normal to have severe stinging after using the Wonderbar? I have only been using for about 3 days and expected to feel tightness and drying, but the stinging is very uncomfortable for about an hour after using the Wonderbar.

      Hi,
Will you tell me which other products you are using with the bar(moisturizer, makeup, powder, sunscree), how you are using the bar (how often and for how long you leave it on) and what you were using for skincare before the bar?
It sounds like the healing crisis, but seems early to have a lot of stinging….
      Thanks!

After a week and a half of using the wonderbar my skin has gone crazy. The only make up I wear is a thin layer of MAC powder that I apply with a brush. My face started to itch really badly near my jawbone and I now have thousands of small bumps all over my face. I can’t tell whether this is a SEVERE healing crisis or an allergic reaction. I’m embarrassed to go anywhere. What does this sound like to you? Should it have this severe of an effect on me?

    • Tiffany says:

      Hi Molly,
You are ten days in, which is right in the middle of the adjustment phase. These are toxins being pulled from your skin and it sounds like the healing process which we describe in our instructional letter. People’s reactions vary. I would consider not using the powder until you get through this phase, or go without as much as possible. Also, which moisturizer are you using and are you sleeping in the bar? Sometimes these two things can have an affect as well. Let me know….

    Hi,
The instruction letter is on the website and will explain exactly how to use the product. You do use it twice a day and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. Thanks for the question!
